TROUBLESHOOTING

Q: Are both units powered on?
S: Turn both units on

Q: Does the MiFi show that it has signal? (All the MiFi’s have some kind of icon indicating signal strength on them.)
S: Go somewhere with better signal strength or come back to switch to a different brand WiFi kit. Can also try turning the Mifi off then back on.

Q: Are you connecting the correct MiFi with the correct router?
S: Set the router up with its correct pair. (The router and MiFi’s only work in pairs, so #1 MiFi only works with #1 Router)

Q: How close is the Mifi to the Router?
S: Keep the MiFi and the router within a few feet of one another for maximum operation

Q.) Have they given the router time to boot up?
S: Wait for router to completely boot up. Sometimes it takes a minute or two for the system to get fully running. (This is especially true for Mifi #1 & #2)

Q: Is the router broadcasting?
S: (This solution apples to all routers except for #1 & #2.) There is a small blue lit icon made of 3 concentric arcs above a dot that looks like a signal signal strength icon just to the right of the center button on the unit. This icon need to be lit for the router to broadcast the internet. On the rear of the device to the right of the one/off switch is a small switch with an “O” on one side and a “I” on the other. This should be set to the “I”. When switched to that position, the blue icon on the front will illuminate and the device should be broadcasting internet. Sometimes people flip that switch to the other side.
